Michelle grew up in central Florida where she earned an A.S. in Zoo Animal Technology. She has interned and volunteered at various zoos and a wildlife rehabilitation centers. Michelle also interned as a Biological Tech Assistant with the USFS in Questa. Michelle started in the program as an A.S. degree seeking student. She completed her A.S., transferred to NMHU where she completed her B.S. and is currently working towards an M.S. degree in Wildlife Biology. She hopes to become a park or forest ranger after completing her education.
